NOVA needs you - we are very keen to enlist new members of our organisation.
Here's what you need: the patience of Job, the strength of the Hulk, the wisdom of Solomon and a selfless devotion caring for the needs of others worthy of Mother Teresa.
You will see that these 'inherent requirements of the role' exclude many (see also 'working for NOVA' on our Home Page).
We are constantly expanding and need Employment Consultants and Outlet Mangers for sites across Sydney and the Southern Ranges (Goulburn/Yass)
This is a tough job, the 200 people that work for me have been refined by fire and have proved themselves equal to the tasks set them, no matter how demanding.
Being part of this team will challenge you emotionally and physically, we genuinely only accept the best and my staff are under instruction to leave gaps rather than take second best.
We respect but don't need formal qualifications. If you get through you will be trained initially and then on an on-going basis.
For the successful a rewarding opportunity to assist and develop the careers of people with disability will reward your efforts in proportion to the efforts you have made - there's very little more exciting than hearing your clients have found work or watching the confidence and ability of formally excluded individuals.
This could be yours:
Upon attending the NOVA Office we were immediately felt welcome and things were explained to us and procedures were clear. My daughter was fortunate to go for 1 interview/on the job training in her actual dream job. She works 6 days per week, and the change in her is enormous. I cant thank John* enough for firstly helping my daughter Jane, but also for understanding her needs and to identify what job is actually best suited for her. Jane is flourishing in her job, her confidence in herself has increased, and she feels like a worthwhile person in society something that she has never felt like before. So once again, a huge big thank you to (you?) for her professionalism, dedication and most importantly for her support of Jane, and the staff at Nova (*all names changed).
I genuinely have the best team in the business and the results to prove it - you could be part of this and if you can join us, together we will change the way stuff gets done, creating careers and opportunities for genuine inclusion for people with disability.
Not everyone can cut it but if you do get through we look after our team members, have an on-going, very attractive, bonus system (highest bonus for 2018: $18,500), provide fully maintained company vehicles and promote internally creating strong career development opportunities.
Preferably, you need computer skills, marketing ability (there's a lot of 'no's on the road to 'yes'). Experience supporting people with disability is well regarded.
Free Clues
There's a Home Page button under 'Working for NOVA' - click 'Employment Consultants' - that takes you through to some stuff you need to read. Answer questions as fully as you see fit remembering that a response that looks like 'I have experience' is not of itself sufficient!
Finally, don't forget to upload your resume.
I think there are around 23 million Australians - I need 5 of the best

Benchmarks To access NOVA Employment or any Disability Employment Service (DES), almost everyone is required to be assessed by the Services Australia Services (Centrelink) to determine their "Benchmark" hours: Benchmark hours are the pay point for service providers; being the minimum working hours required for the DES provider to bill the Government and the assessed maximum hours a person is deemed capable of working with DES support....

More than Money!
If asked, most of us would say we went to work for the money, to pay our bills or support our family.
All true, and yet work means so much more:
Prior to finding a job with NOVA employment Glenn* struggled to keep jobs for more than a few months and was generally working as a dishwasher in restaurants which he found to be quite unsatisfying work....

Don't know about you but I have felt pretty bruised from all the horrible stuff brought upon us by this damn virus - seeing so many folk losing their jobs is particularly awful and the uncertainty generated for everyone, particularly for workers who have a disability is dreadful to see....
